Bio

Hello! My name is Emily Frady. This is my 9th year in the classroom and my second year as a 3rd grade teacher. This is my second year as Assistant Principal at MVW and I could not be more honored! MVW is the very best school, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve our staff, students, and families in this capacity.

Before I started teaching 3rd grade in October of 2022, I taught SPED Preschool for 5 years at Pikeville Elementary, 1st grade for one year at MVW, and SPED Intervention for one year at MVW. I have also taught online English classes to elementary students in China.

I graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Liberty University. I also pursued and received a post-baccalaureate certificate in Early Childhood and Special Education from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I love continually learning about the brain and how it functions- it helps me understand how to guide your children through their learning journey. I'm convinced that our kiddos at MVW really are some of the most exceptional in the world.

My husband and I live on Wheeler Mountain with our 3 children who also attend MVW. I am not originally from Bledsoe County. I graduated from South Pittsburg High School (6 time state champs!!), and grew up in the lovely city of New Hope right on Nickajack Lake. I do have several ties to this area, and I am happy to be here now. In our family, we enjoy playing music (I play fiddle and piano), singing, and spending time with our extended families.
