This year your child will have the opportunity to participate in the Accelerated Reader Program (A.R.). This is a motivational reading program that allows students to read books and then take reading tests on the computer to check for comprehension. After the student takes a reading test on the computer, points will be assigned to your child by the computer based on the reading level and the number of questions they answer correctly. Our theme for the A.R. Program this year is "All Aboard the Reading Railroad!"
Each nine-week grading period we will have a different activity related to "Railroad" that students are able to enjoy. To participate, your child must achieve his/her personal goal.
